The Client
Our Client is an international embedded systems and semiconductors company delivering quality development, manufacturing and support services across various embedded segments. The Company offers Semiconductor, PCB, Software & System solutions to its clients in any of its target domains; with its design, development, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance services spanning across entire systems to individual hardware and software components. The Company has developed various in-house projects that include Home Automation, Digital IP TV, Wireless Medication, etc.
The Challenge
Our Client wanted to create a smart Building automation System with which the Building Managers or the owners can centrally control the lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), appliances, security locks of gates and doors and other systems. The company wants to develop a Building Automation System to provide improved convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security to the Owners.
Our Client approached us to develop an Android Application as a User Interface Device to control the centralized electric and power supply system of a Building. The building automation system can be specifically used for Home and Industrial Automation also.
The Solution
Binary Semantics developed an Android App for intelligent building automation. The android app developed is connected with Building Management System Hardware through the serial devices using the serial cable and displaying the updated status of various channels. The application developed allows to:
- Send and Receive data
- Monitor data exchange between serial devices
- Open as many serial ports as you like
- Dynamically change serial port settings without the necessity to close and reopen the current port
- Adjust baud rate, flow control parameters
